My Peace Music Institute

What we do

Many children in Kalimpong, District Darjeeling, have great musical potential but never come to know it. Their parents cannot afford a proper education. In the  My Peace Music Institute - a small not-for-profit initiative -  some of these children get the chance to discover their  potential and receive a free education to become music teachers.
Simultaneously the institute strives at providing funds for the children to complete high school and a college/university degree.
Presently 30  boys and girls are in the program.  All instruments (violin, viola, cello, key-board, piano, guitar) are provided by the institute.
Exams are conducted in association with the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music London (ABRSM).

The My Peace Music Institute also welcomes any student interested in music lessons and has about 50 students enrolled whose parents contribute small amounts of money for the classes.
